Airports, amusement parks, construction sites – Bringing life to public spaces

The old warehouse district next to the harbor was bustling with activity under the pale glow of the moon. Massive cranes hauled steel beams and equipment, while workers shouted over the din of machinery and trucks. Jane walked through the maze of dilapidated factories, following the clues left by her target.

A low flying airplane buzzed overhead, the rumbling of its engines rattling the windows on the building next to her. Her heart raced at the sound of its ripping turbines, and she followed its sight around the corner where there was a cargo airport. She crossed the parking lot to the barbed wire fence wrapped around the perimeter. She ran along it, keeping low, her pistol in her hand, searching for somewhere to crawl under, planes roaring as they took off into the night sky and landed with a squeal of tires.

Jane spotted her target slipping into a hangar at the end of the runway and hurried underneath a crawl space to catch up. Her boots echoed on the concrete floor as she entered the hangar. “I’ve been waiting for you,” a voice said from the darkness.

Before she could react, the floor gave way beneath her feet, sending her tumbling down a long chute. She slid helplessly down the slick metal, grasping for anything to slow her fall, but found only smooth walls. After what seemed an eternity, she was spat out into a dimly lit chamber. “Welcome to my playground,” the voice cackled over a loudspeaker.

The thrill of our industrialized landscapes is captured in our most recent upload of public ambiences. Dependable, well-recorded ambiences for outdoor scenes are a must for sound designers to create a realistic and fully immersive experience. Television series, films, video games, YouTube channels and podcasts all require background noises to mimic the sounds of everyday life.

Game developers, podcasters, cartoonists, and other creatives are always in need of ambiences in industrial spaces. That’s why we’re pleased to keep expanding our collection and showing what’s new and available. Every two weeks, we keep adding new, royalty-free sound effects to our collection, priding ourselves on providing a consistently excellent subscription service. Check out the details here today!

About the Sounds

Our last upload of natural ambiences included a long list of places throughout nature, like the seaside, cliffs, bird-filled forests, and more. Our recordists were combing the countryside for fresh materials through all kinds of weather thick and thin. For this week’s upload, they went urban and found sprawling factories and airports to run around with their microphones.

This new upload of public ambiences includes a rich collection of ambient sound effects to set the scene for a bustling industrial area and transportation hub. You’ll find realistic sounds of factories, construction sites, an airport, and an amusement park. The factory sounds include heavy machinery, welding, and production line ambiences. The airport sounds feature jets, prop planes, and helicopters taking off and landing, baggage claim carousels, and terminal announcements. The amusement park sounds capture the excitement of thrill rides, carnival games, and crowds.

The background noises of the man-made world are well captured in this new sound upload. It helps you to add a little bit of realism to your project and saves you the trouble of searching for those noisy, impossible spots to record. What the sounds can be used for

These ambient sound effects would be ideal for any film, game, or project needing to create an immersive industrial setting. They could be used in action/adventure films and games, like Cyberpunk or Bioshock, or any other sci-fi, steampunk, and cyberpunk genre games that lean heavy on gritty industrial aesthetics. Movies and serials too like Altered Carbon or Black Mirror would find their place with these sounds.

For podcasts, projects like the Bright Sessions or The Strange Case of Starship Iris might set the scene with some help from ambiences like these.

The airport and amusement park sounds are extremely versatile and used in all kinds of productions. Sound designers and composers can further manipulate, layer, and combine these sounds to achieve their desired result.

Whether you are creating a film, video game, or other project, this latest upload is a versatile collection of sounds that can bring your vision to life. So why wait? Get your subscription today and start creating!
