Hopeless Records has hosted pop-punk heroes for years, and adding Senses to a lineup of greats makes sense. Their anthemic sound makes way for cathartic pop-punk to make a re-entrance into the scene. Solid vocals and punchy distorted guitars guide the way in their new single “every little thing.”
Signature vocals often become a band’s “trademark,” Madison Taylor certainly has what it takes to allow the trio to reach legacy status over time. Her tonal range needs no comparison; singing well is a workout, but her core strength makes a clean belt seem effortless.
Instrumentally, the track veers towards motivation without skewing toward cheesiness. Tight drumming and guitar playing rule the day, but a few subtle synth layers round out a complex mix. Though formulaic with a catchy chorus, “Every Little Thing” is not predictable.
This is an optimistic new beginning for Senses as they enter a new journey phase. The partnership with Hopeless Records will only provide them with a few more resources to take it to the top— “every little thing” will draw the attention they deserve, purely by merit and passion for their art.
